Shirokuma Power Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo, Representative Director: Kanzo Tanimoto) announced that it has successfully bid on a total of five grid-scale battery storage system projects in the FY2025 "Long-term Decarbonization Power Auction." As a result, the company plans to develop and deploy grid-scale battery storage systems with a cumulative total capacity of 11.4 GWh by FY2030 (based on plans as of April 2026). Leveraging its strength in providing end-to-end services from land acquisition to development, management, and market operation, Shirokuma Power has built a strong track record, enabling them to secure bids for three consecutive years, following FY2023 and FY2024. The company will continue to address challenges through its grid-scale battery storage business to stabilize often-unstable green power and promote it as a primary power source replacing thermal power.
