The Standing Committee on Citizens and Urban Affairs will hold an exchange of opinions and a parliamentary report with Bunkyo Gakuin University students involved in "Kashiya Bunbun," on the theme of vacant store measures.
"Vacant store measures" have traditionally been cited as an issue faced by shopping streets. Nationally, there are various challenges such as a lack of successors, poor business performance, and aging facilities, making it difficult to resolve the issue of vacant stores. Shopping streets play multifaceted roles, including creating local vibrancy and crime prevention. This initiative aims to investigate the roles that shopping streets play as the aging population continues to increase.
