Nanohana School Lunch Center Tour and Experience

Utilizing the summer vacation period, we will specially open the interior of the school lunch center, which is usually off-limits. This tour allows you to learn how the school lunches you eat every day are made and deepen your interest and understanding of school lunches through various experiences. July 27 (Mon) and 28 (Tue), Reiwa 8 (2026)

Both days: 1 9:00 AM, 2 10:30 AM, 3 12:00 PM, 4 1:30 PM. A total of 8 sessions (approx. 1 hour each).

Content

Entry and tour of the cooking area: Air shower experience, experience the -20 degree cold inside the freezer, vegetable washing experience in a 3-tier sink, pot stirring experience, water filling experience for food containers, food distribution game, exhibition viewing, DVD viewing, etc. (planned).

Target Audience

Elementary and junior high school students residing or attending school in the city, and their guardians.

Applications are accepted from all areas of the city, regardless of the school receiving meals.

10 groups per session (first-come, first-served basis)
