This book introduces the results of the "JFIA 2026" award ceremony, held annually to understand the trends in financial innovation in Japan, and provides a list of cases since 2020.

The Japan Financial Innovation Award (JFIA) is an award system for innovative projects in the financial sector, with FINOLAB, a leading fintech center in Japan, serving as the secretariat and Dentsu Institute for the Human Sciences providing support as a knowledge partner. It has been held since 2020. Each year, awards are decided by selecting innovative initiatives from hundreds of financial projects announced in press releases the previous year, and by the screening of FINOVATORS (General Incorporated Association Financial Innovation Friends Association), composed of financial experts, from the perspectives of "advancement, growth potential, and potential for transforming the financial industry" in three categories: "Startups, Financial Institutions, and Collaboration."

JFIA was established with the aim of promoting advanced initiatives utilizing information and communication technology in the financial field, sharing best practices within the industry, and expanding open innovation beyond corporate groups and industry boundaries. The specific contents are now being published as a "Yearbook."
