argenx Japan K.K. has released a new documentary video, 'Living with MG: The Reality Faced and What Lies Beyond,' on its official YouTube channel to mark Myasthenia Gravis (MG) Awareness Month in June.

MG is an autoimmune disorder that affects the transmission of signals between nerves and muscles. Key symptoms include muscle weakness and fatigue. Because these symptoms vary by individual and can fluctuate throughout the day, patients often face social stigma, being misunderstood as 'lazy' or 'slackers.'

The documentary features a female patient diagnosed with MG in her second year of high school. It follows her journey through major life milestones—education, marriage, and childbirth—and highlights her current life as a successful handmade accessory creator, conveying a message of hope and resilience.

There are an estimated 29,000 MG patients in Japan, and the condition is designated as an intractable disease by the government. Since 2023, argenx Japan has been promoting the slogan 'Start by Knowing MG' to foster broader social understanding and create a more supportive environment for patients and their families.
