Illumimedical Inc. Completes Series A Funding Round, Raising a Total of 550 Million JPY

Illumimedical Inc. (Location: Nagoya City, Aichi Prefecture), which aims to innovate medical technology using light, has completed its 3rd close, following the 1st close of its Series A round announced in October 2025 and the 2nd close announced in January 2026. The total amount of funding raised in Series A is 550 million JPY. This marks the final close of Series A.

Participants in the Series A 3rd Close: ■ NEX-T Tokai Innovation Fund (jointly operated by Prime Partners/Tokai Tokyo Securities) ■ Meigin Venture Fund No. 1 (operated by Nagoya Capital Partners) ■ Hokkoku Bank (proprietary loan) ■ Japan Finance Corporation (subordinated loan)

The Series A funds will be used for the following:

・Promotion of product development and transfer of developed products to mass production factories Establishment of a stable supply system for devices that ensure quality and safety for clinical trials.

・Execution of global regulatory and insurance strategies Formation of alliances with overseas companies and execution of global regulatory and insurance strategies aimed at obtaining global approval in preparation for international joint clinical trials with global pharmaceutical companies.

・Expansion of treatment and diagnostic pipelines Expansion of pipelines through new alliances with pharmaceutical companies, etc., applying light therapy technology, and business development/research and development aimed at adapting to new disease areas (neurological diseases).

・Securing core talent and strengthening organizational structure Actively recruiting specialized personnel in medical device development, regulatory affairs, and business development, and establishing a system for global expansion.
