Wellbe Next LLC (Representative Member: Yumiko Ono) will begin providing 'Wellrhythm365,' an online service that continuously supports corporate health management and organizational development, starting September 2026.

This service rethinks traditional one-off health management initiatives by combining continuous learning led by diverse experts with mechanisms that sustain behavioral change, offering a corporate wellness solution designed for long-term impact.

Challenges in Health Management

In recent years, interest in corporate health management has grown steadily, with over 23,000 companies certified as 'Healthy Management Excellent Corporations 2025' (*).

However, despite this progress, 68.3% of workers report significant anxiety, stress, or concerns related to their jobs and professional lives (Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare, 'Reiwa 6 Occupational Safety and Health Survey'). Challenges facing employees remain widespread.

Moreover, the 'invisible costs' generated by mental and physical health issues cannot be ignored. According to the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare, 'presenteeism'—where employees attend work but perform below capacity due to poor health—accounts for 77.9% of total corporate health-related costs, far exceeding losses from absenteeism or leave (4.4%) (Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare, 'Collaborative Health Guidelines for Promoting Data Health and Health Management'). In other words, the losses caused by employees who 'come to work but cannot perform at their best' are significantly greater than those from employees who take time off.

Additionally, companies frequently report challenges such as:

- Behavioral changes do not stick after one-time training sessions

- Uncertainty about what to sustain over time

- High administrative burden on coordinators, making continuity difficult

Furthermore, employee challenges have diversified beyond physical inactivity to include mental health, communication, women's health, work-life balance with childcare and caregiving, and career development. One-off, theme-based initiatives are no longer sufficient to address these complex, interconnected issues.

Given this context, there is an urgent need to move beyond temporary health management efforts and instead build systems that prevent the accumulation of 'invisible costs' by fostering daily behavioral changes for each individual.

(*) 'Healthy Management Excellent Corporation' is a certification and recognition system by the Japan Health Conference for companies and organizations that strategically implement 'health management'—viewing employee health from a managerial perspective. (Refer to METI's 'Healthy Management Excellent Corporation System').

Executive Comment

'In our busy daily lives, time to reflect on our mental and physical well-being often gets postponed. The more we are pulled by work and family, the less room we have to care for ourselves—this is a shared reality for many workers. That’s why we believe it’s profoundly meaningful for companies to create time for employees to value themselves. This time is not only an opportunity to learn but also a moment when employees feel, 'My company truly values me.' It becomes the foundation for working and living authentically.

With Wellrhythm365, we deliver fresh perspectives and insights through monthly encounters with diverse experts. Each encounter sparks small behavioral changes, nurturing individual well-being. We believe that over time, these small changes will accumulate into a corporate culture that truly values people.'

Future Outlook

We aim to create a society where health management initiatives become an everyday part of employees’ well-being.
