Aero Sensing Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Kita-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Kotaro Sabe; hereinafter "Aero Sensing"), which provides various solutions through its self-developed domestic industrial drones and cloud services, is pleased to announce that its post-processed kinematic positioning-compatible drone, Aerobo PPK (AS-MC03-PPKHL), has become the first drone to receive the ★1 (Level 1) conformity label under the Security Requirements Conformity Assessment and Labeling Scheme (JC-STAR: Labeling Scheme based on Japan Cyber-Security Technical Assessment Requirements).
JC-STAR is a Japanese certification system that verifies and visualizes compliance with independently defined security technical requirements for IoT products, harmonized with international standards such as ETSI EN 303 645 and NISTIR 8425. Depending on the required security level, the scheme defines common product conformity requirements to address minimum threats (★1 Level 1), as well as category-specific requirements (★2 Level 2, ★3 Level 3, ★4 Level 4).
The Aerobo PPK is a survey drone that achieves stable video transmission and operability by adopting the Herelink HD Transmission control unit. The self-developed Aerobo flight management application, "Aerobo Station," is installed on the control unit, enabling users to create flight paths for surveying and conduct fully autonomous flights. During flight, camera footage can be monitored on the control unit, and the gimbal can be operated to capture竣工 photos from any angle, significantly enhancing usability. This makes the drone ideal for daily operations at construction and engineering sites, from aerial photography to surveying. The drone has now received the JC-STAR ★1 (Level 1) conformity label, confirming compliance with the scheme's basic security requirements. This is the first such certification in the drone product category. As a result, users can now verify that the product meets the government-defined minimum cybersecurity standards, enabling secure procurement.
As a domestic drone manufacturer, Aero Sensing offers a wide range of drone products that have been adopted and utilized by numerous companies and local governments. The company's high aircraft performance and reliability have been recognized by various government ministries, including the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism and the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology.
