Eight Design, an urban development company based in Nagoya and Tokyo that 'designs enjoyment,' (Head office: Showa-ku, Nagoya / Representative Director: Fumiya Kamitsubo) will open a new facility, 'EIGHT BASE UNGA,' at 'NAKAGAWA CANAL DOORS' in the Nakagawa Canal Horidome area of Nagoya.
This facility combines office functions with a community space where local companies, creators, freelancers, students, and citizens can interact, serving as a hub for generating new work and challenges through events and exchanges.
Based on the philosophy of 'designing enjoyment,' the facility is designed as a community center where creators, business operators, and local residents can gather to create new value by leveraging their respective strengths and personalities.
The facility features dining functions on the 1st floor, a community lounge on the 2nd floor, and a shared office on the 3rd floor, creating a structure where 'working,' 'playing,' and 'connecting' intersect three-dimensionally.
The shared office area incorporates 'play' elements such as casino tables, darts, and a sauna to create mechanisms for incidental interaction between tenants and users.
Furthermore, it goes beyond just providing space; as a hub to support 'people who want to take on new challenges in the region,' it will provide accompaniment support, including consultations during the planning stage, PR, and information dissemination.
