Dialogue on DX Co-creation: Gazelle x Ricoh Japan

Gazelle Inc. held a discussion with the head of the Healthcare Business Center at Ricoh Japan, set in a nursing home, regarding how to overcome on-site barriers and what direction to take in the future. Both companies shared their current understanding, specific initiatives, and future prospects. To address structural issues faced by nursing care providers such as labor shortages, increased operational burdens, and maintaining service quality, we provide Ricoh Japan's integrated digital solutions utilizing sensors, AI, and cloud technology to support the transformation of nursing care sites. Both companies agreed that an all-in-one support system combining sensors, AI, and cloud technology is essential for reducing the burden on the front lines. In this collaboration, we utilize a bed sensor system as a foundation and provide integrated services such as digitization of nursing records, fall risk prediction using AI, and monitoring of the entire facility. This is expected to improve the efficiency of night patrols and reduce the physical and mental burden on staff. DX investment is not just about cost reduction; it creates a positive cycle of improving resident satisfaction and staff retention.
