Greeviz Co., Ltd. has signed a technical advisory agreement with Associate Professor Kenichi Furuhashi of the Graduate School of Agricultural and Life Sciences at the University of Tokyo, aiming to provide technical guidance on the research and development of composting technology for ecotas compost. ecotas compost is a bag-type composting service designed to be easily integrated into urban life. Through its compact bag design, ventilation and heat-retaining structure, uniquely formulated base materials, and a collection service for excess compost, it offers a composting experience that is accessible even for beginners. However, there are challenges in the continuous use of home compost, such as changes in fermentation status due to seasons, variations in decomposition speed depending on input materials, and concerns about odor. To address these issues, the company has decided to receive technical advice from Professor Furuhashi, who has expertise in biomass utilization, organic fertilizers, and resource circulation, to advance the design of more practical base materials and improve the composting process. While previously available only in the Kanto area, it has been available for purchase nationwide since May 1st.
