Sakata INX Corp. has decided to introduce a manufacturing facility for packaging coatings capable of direct food contact (DFC-compliant facility) at its Tokyo factory (Noda, Chiba). Construction has begun, with completion aimed for August 2026, to further improve the safety and reliability of the food packaging sector. This will be the first such production facility introduced by a packaging materials manufacturer in Japan. Sakata INX is focusing on the global development of coatings that contribute to high-value-added packaging, and through this introduction, it will strengthen the production of various coatings, starting with its newly developed 'PFAS-free oil-resistant agent.' By proactively introducing DFC-compliant facilities in anticipation of future regulatory tightening, the company is building a system to provide safer materials.
