THE SEED Announces Sponsors for 'Startup Kansai 2026' on June 21

THE SEED (The Seed Capital, Inc., Headquarters: Shibuya, Tokyo; Representative: Taiki Hirosawa), a pre-seed and seed stage VC, has announced the sponsors for 'Startup Kansai 2026' (11th edition), one of the largest startup events in the Kansai region for students and young entrepreneurs, scheduled for June 21, 2026. Nissei Capital Co., Ltd. has been confirmed as the main (Platinum) sponsor for the second consecutive year. Additionally, the event has secured support from Osaka Prefecture, Osaka City, Kyoto City, and the Kyoto University Growth Strategy Headquarters.

On the day of the event, Nissei Capital will host a special session titled 'The Rise of AI from a VC Perspective.' Naoki Akiyama, President and CEO of Nissei Capital, will be the featured speaker, discussing how VCs at the forefront of startup investment perceive the evolution of AI technology. The session will be moderated by Taiki Hirosawa, Representative of THE SEED.

Startup Kansai is a free event aimed at providing students and young professionals in the Kansai region with opportunities to explore startups and entrepreneurship, fostering next-generation innovation. Entering its 11th year, the event typically attracts over 100 participants.

The theme for this year is 'The Frontline of Business and Careers in the AI Era.' As AI fundamentally reshapes the premises of business and professional paths, leading entrepreneurs, investors, and practitioners will take the stage to provide insights for future challenges.

The event will take place on June 21, 2026, starting at 1:00 PM at Blooming Camp in Grand Green Osaka.
