Joint Participation with JR East Chiba Branch

A collaboration illustration has been realized featuring the gate, Sigma Group's official character "Shiguma-chan," JR East Chiba Branch's mascot character "Ekicho-ken" (Station Master Dog), and Sigma Group's official image character Shiguma-chan!

Sigma Logistics Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Shinagawa-ku, Tokyo), which provides comprehensive logistics services from manufacturing to transportation, delivery, and warehouse management, primarily for beverages, participated in the Pride Parade at "Tokyo Pride 2026" on Sunday, June 7th, along with Sigma Vending Service Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Omiya-ku, Saitama City, Saitama Prefecture).

"Tokyo Pride 2026" is one of Asia's largest LGBTQ+ events, organized by the NPO Tokyo Rainbow Pride. This year's event was held under the theme "The Future Opened by Diversity and Equality," attracting many people to Yoyogi Park (Shibuya-ku, Tokyo) and the parade route.

This marks the second time for Sigma Logistics and Sigma Vending Service (hereinafter referred to as Sigma Two Companies) to participate in the parade. This year, they participated jointly with volunteers from the East Japan Railway Company Chiba Branch. A total of 16 people from the three organizations walked the parade course together, deepening their exchange, and as ALLY, they expressed their support for the realization of a society where everyone can live authentically.

Sigma Logistics and Sigma Vending Service are working to promote understanding of LGBTQ+ and prevent SOGI harassment as part of their DE&I (Diversity, Equity & Inclusion) initiatives. They aim to foster understanding of diversity, including LGBTQ+, and create a workplace free from prejudice and discrimination. In recognition of these efforts, they have received the highest rating, "Gold," for four consecutive years from the "PRIDE Index," an evaluation index for LGBTQ+ developed by the voluntary organization "work with Pride."

Furthermore, to deepen understanding of LGBTQ+ individuals, respect diversity, and create a safe and comfortable working environment, they are implementing the following initiatives:

1. Dedicated Department Support System

Dedicated staff provide support from the recruitment selection process through to after joining the company.

2. Introduction of a Partnership System

Same-sex partners are recognized equivalently to married spouses, and employment rules and other regulations apply.

3. Promotion of "#SigmAlly" to Show Allyship at Sigma

Disseminating the coined term "#SigmAlly," a combination of "Sigma" and "ALLY."

4. Internal Awareness Activities Using Guidebooks and E-learning

Conducting in-house training for managers to deepen correct knowledge and understanding.

5. Expressing Support for Three LGBTQ+-Related Organizations

* "Business for Marriage Equality," which promotes marriage equality (legalization of same-sex marriage) in Japan. * "Business Support for LGBT Equality in Japan," a declaration of LGBT equality support through business. * "Business Support for Transgender Law Reform Discussion," supporting discussions to ease the requirements of the Act on Special Cases of Gender Identity Disorder.
