Cisco Announces 'Cisco Cloud Control,' an Agent Platform for Operating and Defending Critical IT Infrastructure

Cisco Cloud Control is an integrated platform built for humans and AI agents to collaboratively operate critical IT infrastructure. This platform integrates Cisco's various offerings and advances Cisco's 'AgenticOps' (operations by agents) vision. Customers can build proprietary applications and agents using natural language, as well as extend functionality to third-party tools.

With the proliferation of AI, the window from vulnerability discovery to exploitation has shortened from weeks to minutes. In response, Cisco announced several security innovations. These include expanded coverage for Live Protect, which protects more Cisco products from new vulnerabilities in runtime environments, providing protection without reboots, upgrades, or downtime.

New Cisco IQ features assist in building long-term resilience against future threats. Resilient Infrastructure Services provide support for risks associated with frontier models, while newly offered Quantum Ready Assessments identify assets most vulnerable to 'harvest now, decrypt later' attacks and prioritize countermeasures.
