Sony Life Insurance Co., Ltd. (President and Representative Director: Hiroyuki Tsubota, hereinafter referred to as "the Company") has been supporting "Special Olympics Nippon"*1 (hereinafter referred to as "SON") since 1996 with the desire to support the independence and social participation of as many individuals with intellectual disabilities as possible and to contribute to the formation of a kind society that respects diversity.

"Special Olympics" is an international sports organization that supports the social participation of individuals with intellectual disabilities by providing them with year-round sports training and competitions to showcase their achievements. SON holds National Games (national competitions) for athletes with intellectual disabilities once every four years, in summer and winter, as a venue for them to showcase the results of their daily sports training. At the "2026 9th Special Olympics Nippon Summer National Games Tokyo" (hereinafter referred to as "the Games"), held in June 2026, a total of 631 employees from our company participated as volunteer staff. This marks the 13th time (including World Games) that we have dispatched employee volunteers to the National Games since 2002, with a cumulative total of approximately 6,000 employees having participated to date.

Many of our employees find value in volunteer activities and engage in social contribution activities. 2026 9th Special Olympics Nippon Summer National Games Tokyo (hereinafter referred to as "the Games")

The National Games are national competitions held once every four years in summer and winter as a venue for athletes with intellectual disabilities to showcase the results of their daily sports training. Athletes*3 selected from each prefecture participate, and these games also serve as selection events for the Japanese delegation to the World Games.

The Games are being held in a staggered manner in June and September. The June portion was held in Tokyo for three days from June 5th to 7th, 2026. Competitions were held on June 6th and 7th across seven sports, with approximately 1,115 athletes and coaches participating, along with a total of 2,251 volunteers. Our company sent approximately 631 employee volunteers, accounting for about 30% of the total volunteer participation, who assisted with track and field and tennis events, including DAL*4, visitor reception, guidance, and catering. Our employees cooperated with each other to support the athletes participating from all over the country and the smooth operation of the event, enabling the athletes to demonstrate the results of their daily training. We will continue to support the operational aspects of the National Games. In September 2026, basketball, swimming, and bowling will be held in Tokyo.
