Royal Pines Hotel Urawa to Launch 'Dolce Kakigori' Featuring Seasonal Saitama Ingredients on June 16

Pastry Shop La Mora, located on the first floor of Royal Pines Hotel Urawa and operated by Solare Hotels and Resorts Co., Ltd., will launch its highly anticipated annual 'Dolce Kakigori' starting Tuesday, June 16, 2026.

The first wave features three unique varieties crafted by the hotel's pastry chef: 'Amarin Strawberry', 'American Cherry and Chocolate', and 'Saitama-grown Sweet Corn (Mirai & Dolce Dream)'. The hotel plans to introduce second and third waves to continue delivering seasonal flavors.

With the arrival of early summer, the hotel invites guests to enjoy a refreshing moment with these specially made shaved ice desserts. As items may sell out depending on availability, advance reservations are highly recommended.

- Amarin Strawberry (June 16 - September 30) This dessert uses a special syrup made exclusively from 'Amarin', an original Saitama strawberry variety by U FIRM! that won the Gold Award in the sweetness category at Tabechoku Strawberry Expo 2024. It is accented with a special diplomat cream (custard and whipped cream) and crispy almonds, topped with an Amarin compote. Priced at 1,800 yen (tax included) or 2,200 yen for a drink set.

- American Cherry and Chocolate (June 16 - Mid-July) A luxurious shaved ice using seasonal American cherries and chocolate. The ice contains sautéed American cherries and diplomat cream, finished with chocolate and cherry syrups. Priced at 1,800 yen (tax included) or 2,200 yen for a drink set.

- Saitama-grown Sweet Corn 'Mirai & Dolce Dream' (June 16 - Mid-July) This shaved ice features a potage-style sauce made from 'Mirai' and 'Dolce Dream' sweet corn, boasting an average brix (sugar content) of 16 to 20 degrees. It includes diplomat cream, fresh corn, and soy sauce sable inside, allowing guests to maximize the natural sweetness of the corn. Priced at 1,800 yen (tax included) or 2,200 yen for a drink set.

About the Producer and Corn The menu uses 'Mirai' and 'Dolce Dream' grown carefully by Mr. Keiichiro Shiobara, a corn farmer in Honjo City, Saitama. 'Mirai' is a popular sweet corn known for its exceptional sweetness, resembling fruit. 'Dolce Dream' is a bicolor variety featuring a juicy texture and rich sweetness combined with a large size.
