*1 Entrepreneurship refers to the spirit and ability to take action beyond one's own boundaries and create new value in the face of various difficulties and changes, not just within a given environment. | *2 Innovation ecosystem is a mechanism for aiming at global business by continuously generating advanced technology and innovation, with Shin-Kawasaki and Sozo no Mori serving as engines of growth.
[Thoughts Behind Kawasaki Junior Venture School] This project was born with the aim of ensuring that children themselves, who will live in the new society of the future, do not passively deal with unpredictable changes, but proactively face and engage with them. Through this process, we aim for them to demonstrate their own potential and become creators of a better society and a happy life. Through a total of 7 practical courses and short-term experiential courses, participants will learn the "entrepreneurial spirit" and acquire the ability to pioneer the future even in a society where technologies such as AI and deep learning are becoming more sophisticated and changing rapidly. Participants will take on challenges they cannot usually experience, such as meeting entrepreneurs and prototyping new ideas with their peers.
[Collaboration with Local Companies] Kawasaki City is a region where not only the manufacturing industry, which has long supported local industry, but also the research and development industry is thriving. In addition, venture companies and research and development institutions have gradually gathered, and the city has participated in the Cabinet Office's Startup Ecosystem Tokyo Consortium. We want to utilize this climate and resources of Kawasaki City, which continue to create new things, for children's learning and pass them on to the next generation. During the Kawasaki Junior Venture School practical course, entrepreneurs in Kawasaki City are scheduled to give lectures to participants as entrepreneur lectures. In the 7-session program, as children create ideas to solve problems around them from scratch, they can actually hear how predecessors started their businesses, what it means to create ideas, what kind of technologies exist in Kawasaki City, and how entrepreneurs are active in the world. In the final presentation on the 7th day, each team will give a presentation, and through screening by entrepreneurs in Kawasaki City, they will acquire hints that lead to the future.
In addition, in the experience course, participants are scheduled to touch on the ICT technologies of companies in Kawasaki City that are active globally and tour research institutes. They will deepen their learning while actually witnessing what kind of possibilities lie dormant in the area where they live and what kind of people are active there.
