Origin of the Collaboration

This collaboration originated from a meeting with keniamarilia, another brand participating in the Made in Japan Kakugo Store. keniamarilia advocates for the 'perpetuation of kimono culture' and 'presenting a new standard for traditional Japanese clothing,' proposing ways to naturally integrate kimono into modern lifestyles.

Meanwhile, Nunonishitai upholds the vision of 'a future where artisans’ skills are properly valued,' actively promoting the craftsmanship and stories behind garment production.

We want to carry kimono culture into the future. We want to preserve sewing artisans’ skills for generations to come.

Though operating in different fields, both brands share a fundamental belief: 'passing on the value of creators to the future.' United by the shared desire to pass cultural heritage, craftsmanship, and the value of making things to the next generation, this collaboration has come to life.
