PiPhotonics Selected for METI's '300 Small and Medium Enterprises' Award

PiPhotonics Inc. (Hamamatsu, Shizuoka; CEO: Takahiro Ikeda), developer and manufacturer of the 'Hololight' series of light-pattern-forming LED lighting, has been selected in the 'Global Expansion' category of the 2025 '300 Small and Medium Enterprises' award by the Small and Medium Enterprise Agency. The company deploys its proprietary LED lighting for safety and staging applications both domestically and internationally, expanding its sales channels to the US, Mexico, South Korea, Southeast Asia, and Europe through continuous participation in overseas exhibitions. Currently, sales activities through exhibitions have spread to 11 countries, and overseas sales have grown to over 20%, bringing light technology from Hamamatsu to the global market. The flagship product, 'Hololight,' is a unique LED lighting system that projects lines, circles, and arrows onto the floor to 'visualize' danger zones and work paths. It is being adopted in factories, logistics, and heavy industry for safety measures around overhead cranes and forklifts. In 2026, the company plans to exhibit at 14 overseas trade shows across 11 countries, including the US, France, Germany, India, Vietnam, South Korea, Taiwan, Singapore, Czech Republic, Turkey, and Mexico, to further accelerate business expansion in the global market.
