Fujitecom Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: 2-20 Kanda-Sakumachō, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Shinichi Moriyama; hereinafter "Fujitecom") has partnered with issues Inc. (Headquarters: 2-4-18 Den-en-chōfu, Ōta-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Tatsunori Hirota; hereinafter "issues") to announce the launch of a signature campaign titled "Prevent Water Outages and Road Cave-ins" starting Friday, July 3, 2026.

Water pipes installed across Japan during the period of high economic growth are now simultaneously reaching the end of their lifespan, increasing the risk of sudden water outages and road subsidence accidents. However, replacing all pipelines is estimated to take over 160 years, and the invisible water loss due to leaks—approximately 150 million tons annually, valued at around 200 billion yen—is also a serious issue.

To address this challenge, Fujitecom offers the "Leaknets Cellular LNL-C," a cloud-based remote leak monitoring system utilizing AI and IoT. This system enables 24/7 remote monitoring of underground water pipes via the internet. By analyzing real-time data collected from pipelines using AI, even minor leaks can be detected at an early stage. This allows large-scale incidents that threaten residents' daily lives to be prevented without requiring skilled workers to visit the site.

This campaign is designed to encourage local governments to consider implementing preventive maintenance systems to minimize damage and recovery costs.
