Pets First: Initiatives and Achievements for Protecting Pets' Happy Lifelong Lives in 2025

Pets First Holdings Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Meguro-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director: Haruhiko Sakamoto), under the philosophy of "Pets always come first," is working to realize a society where pets and their families can live with peace of mind throughout their lives, by supporting pet adoption with the premise of lifelong ownership. At "P's-first," the pet shop operated by our company, we have built a support system that looks ahead from before adoption, through after adoption, and even to unforeseen circumstances, promoting initiatives that accompany pets throughout their lives, rather than a "sell and forget" approach. This release introduces the main initiatives and achievements for 2025. In recent years, social issues related to abandonment and difficulty in keeping pets have become apparent, and it is believed that the background to these issues lies in mismatches caused by impulsive purchases and insufficient preparation for pet ownership. In response to these challenges, Pets First conducts sales at its pet shop "P's-first" with the premise of lifelong ownership for all pets. *1 During customer consultations, we explain not only the joys of living with a pet but also the time and costs required for daily care, as well as the possibility of individual behavioral traits (such as barking or biting). At the time of contract signing, we promote understanding of owner responsibilities through documents like "10 Feelings of Pets" and "7 Promises with Pets First."
