Talk Event with Morihiko Naoe of 'Carnation' Announced for July 16 Screening of 'Immediate Family' at TOHO Cinemas Shinsaibashi!

'Immediate Family' is a music documentary that follows the musical journey of these unsung heroes. The film, now in theaters, portrays the lives of four legendary session musicians—Danny Kortchmar (guitar), Waddy Wachtel (guitar), Leland Sklar (bass), and Russ Kunkel (drums)—who formed the backbone of the American West Coast sound. Through interviews with fellow musicians and industry insiders, the documentary paints a rich, multidimensional portrait of their contributions to the recordings and tours of iconic artists like James Taylor, Carole King, Linda Ronstadt, and Jackson Browne.

It has been announced that Morihiko Naoe, vocalist and guitarist of the Japanese rock band 'Carnation,' will take the stage prior to the screening at TOHO Cinemas Shinsaibashi on Thursday, July 16.

As the leader of 'Carnation,' Naoe is also known as a passionate record collector with deep knowledge of 1970s rock and pop music. Even in today’s era dominated by music streaming, he remains deeply committed to the superior sound quality of vinyl records. His dedication resonates strongly with the craftsmanship and artistry embodied by the musicians in 'Immediate Family.'
