Yanmar Agri Co., Ltd., a group company of Yanmar Holdings Co., Ltd., announced the launch of three models of its compact tractor 'NK Series' on June 1, 2026. This product line was co-developed through an expanded partnership in R&D and production with Iseki & Co., Ltd.

While agricultural land consolidation and the concentration of farm operators are progressing, community-based agriculture continues in mountainous and suburban areas. Mountainous regions, in particular, account for approximately 40% of Japan's total cultivated land, playing a crucial role alongside suburban agriculture in supporting Japanese food production. Such markets demand compact agricultural machinery that is easy to handle and provides peace of mind during operation.

The 'NK Series' achieves comfortable and reliable operation by placing control levers and switches in easy-to-use positions. Its compact design allows for tight turns, ensuring smooth operation even in small plots and reducing the operator's burden.

Main Features 1. High-output engine for stable work Equipped with a high-output, high-torque 3-cylinder engine, maximum output has been improved over previous models. This enables persistent and effortless work, leading to higher efficiency and stable finishing. It also complies with environmental regulations through cleaner exhaust.

2. Light steering for easy maneuvering in small fields Equipped with power steering, the steering operation is light and smooth. The 'front-wheel double-speed' turn feature, where front wheels rotate at about twice the speed of rear wheels during turns, minimizes field damage and facilitates smooth maneuvers in small plots. When lowering equipment after a turn, it grounds gently to reduce shock and operator fatigue.

3. Ergonomic layout of control levers and switches Controls related to driving and PTO are consolidated on the left, while implement adjustment controls are on the right. This layout makes it easier to judge which control to operate. Forward/reverse switching is simplified with a reverser lever, convenient for repetitive work like finishing headlands. Additionally, with 3-stage sub-transmission and 3-stage main transmission, 9 gear selections are available for both forward and reverse, allowing appropriate speed choices for tilling, finishing, or moving.

Improved safety with new features A 'seatbelt reminder' notifies the operator if a seatbelt is not worn, and a 'PTO safety device' stops the engine if the operator leaves the seat while the PTO is active.
