Watami Farm has commenced its 2026 grazing season at Bihoro Pass Ranch in Bihoro, Hokkaido. Spanning approximately 300 hectares, the ranch raises about 300 Holstein cows using grazing-type grass-fed dairy farming, which is rare in Japan. This natural method allows cows to feed primarily on pasture grass. Most feed is produced domestically to harmonize with the local environment. Milk from the ranch is used in 'Bihoro Grass-fed Ice' sold online and at Watami Group restaurants, and in menu development for the meal delivery service 'Watami no Takushoku Direct'. In March 2026, the ranch was certified as a Nature Symbiosis Site by the Ministry of the Environment. This system recognizes areas where biodiversity is protected by local or corporate initiatives, aligned with the '30by30' international goal to conserve at least 30% of land and sea by 2030. Watami Farm aims to establish sustainable production models where humans and nature coexist. Watami Co., Ltd., established in May 1986, is headquartered in Ota-ku, Tokyo, under Chairman and CEO Miki Watanabe.
