Wawo Japan Travel, an inbound travel agency targeting foreign visitors to Japan (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; Co-CEOs: Kenichi Takagi, Yoko Iwasaki), is launching a new output-focused guide training program in the Hakone area to address the growing inbound demand. While operating as a Destination Management Company (DMC) handling inbound travel requests from overseas agencies and individuals, Wawo Japan Travel has also been commissioned by local governments and DMOs to conduct numerous guide training projects to strengthen inbound tourism capacity. By leveraging this expertise, the company is launching its own guide training program to further bridge local attractions with international travelers. The Hakone training consists of two parts: classroom lectures and field training. In the classroom, veteran guides active in the Hakone area will teach the history, culture, and tourism knowledge necessary for guiding. In the field training, participants will visit sites with instructors and learn through group practice, gaining practical knowledge to guide various types of guests. Additionally, participants can join an 'English Pronunciation Bootcamp' to address communication barriers, creating a comprehensive program for essential guiding skills.
