Launch of 'Offsite Work in Village': A Corporate Offsite Program in Tokyo's Only Mountain Village, Hinohara.

Anadromous (Hinohara Village, Nishitama District, Tokyo) is launching 'Offsite Work in Village,' an offsite work program for companies and organizations based in Hinohara Village, the only mountain village in Tokyo. This program provides opportunities to re-edit business, organizational, and team dynamics through diverse experiences that encourage dialogue, physical movement, and creative stimulation while staying in a nature-rich rural environment just 90 minutes from the city center. To commemorate the service launch, an event titled 'Jomon, Eccentrics, and Microbes: A Crosstalk on Thinking About How We Work' will be held on Friday, July 3rd, featuring practitioners, researchers, and creators to discuss 'human-like work' in the AI era. On Saturday, July 4th, a seminar-style fieldwork session titled 'How to Shift and Open Up the World: An Introduction to Eccentric Anthropology' will be held. While remote work and AI utilization are rapidly advancing, many companies are facing challenges such as diluted team communication and a decrease in creative casual conversation. 'Offsite Work in Village' provides an opportunity to rethink physicality, creativity, and the relationships between people and nature by engaging with a different sense of time, natural environment, and local culture compared to the city. This program is offered by the membership-based work-in-residence 'Village Hinohara' for companies and organizations. In addition to exclusive use of facilities usually reserved for members, it can be combined with experiential programs that leverage local culture, the natural environment, and connections with local businesses. In an environment surrounded by mountains, rivers, and forests near the city center, it promotes dialogue and ideas that are difficult to generate in a conference room.
