The Inclusive Association (Location: Shinjuku, Tokyo; Representative Director: Yasuhiro Osaki) will host "Inclusive Runway® 2026 at Tokyo National Museum," an inclusive fashion show featuring performers regardless of disability, on August 26, 2026 (Wednesday), at the Tokyo National Museum Hyokeikan. The event is co-hosted by the Tokyo National Museum and supported by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, the Financial Services Agency, and the non-profit organization Children's Cancer Association of Japan.
Emu Shimizu will serve as the general director, with fashion designer Nofumi Tsuruta (representative of tenbo) as assistant director. Scheduled guest models include talent and singer Ai Haruna, and prosthetic runners Kuse Yokota/Kana (eldest daughter) and Yukie Homura/Yuina (second daughter).
Concurrently, the "Inclusive Fashion Art Exhibition" will be held as a program linked to Inclusive Runway® 2026. The project has been listed on the crowdfunding platform "READYFOR" since May 11.
Regarding the background of the project, general director Emu Shimizu initiated the show out of a strong desire to "dissolve" the invisible "boundaries" felt through her experience volunteering at organizations for people with disabilities.
The venue selection was based on the importance of an iconic location that connects Japanese culture with social inclusion, leading to the selection of the Tokyo National Museum Hyokeikan, an Important Cultural Property that has been made barrier-free.
