Regardless of whether one has a disability or not, everyone has the potential to "transform." Through co-creation, we are removing the stereotype of "disability" in society and sending out a new message of "SHOGAI" that embraces diverse characteristics and interpretations.

In addition to Shibuya Font's graphic art scarves, art collage shirts that use shirts as canvases, and all-weather art umbrellas that brighten your mood on both rainy and sunny days, colorful and fun fashion items such as accessories, miscellaneous goods, and stuffed animals born from handmade crafts and manufacturing x design from welfare workshops will appear for a limited time.

"Welfare x Design x Fashion: Turning Designs Born from Free Art into Fashion. Vol.2"

Three key persons will take the stage to hold a talk session, introducing new scarves, umbrellas, collage shirts, and other original fashion items, and sharing the behind-the-scenes stories of design creation born from co-creation artwork.

Speaker Profiles

Laila Kasem, Creative Director, University Professor, General Incorporated Association

Connects creative activities in the field of disability welfare with design, planning and operating product development and various projects through collaborative creation. Promotes active social participation and economic independence of people in the field of disability welfare, and raises social awareness among designers and companies. Serves as Creative Director for "Shibuya Font" from its early stages, receiving numerous domestic and international awards. Appointed as a specially appointed associate professor at the Faculty of Engineering, Nara Women's University in April 2023. Hiroko Ishizuka, General Manager/Art Director, Atelier Fukuhana, Hope Employment Support Center Shibuya, NPO Hope Worldwide-Japan

Started creating works using materials made at welfare facilities in 2015 while engaging in art activities such as dyeing and painting.
