The Platinum Association Network (Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; Chairman: Hiroshi Komiyama) is seeking high school interns for its 2026 Platinum Future Human Resources Development Academy. The academy is an inquiry-based learning program where junior high school students learn from leading experts and participate in group workshops. Interns will act as facilitators and supporters rather than teachers, helping junior high school students guide and summarize discussions. Applicants must participate in a pre-training session on July 4, 2026, at Mitsubishi Research Institute, and the main academy from August 4 to August 7, 2026, at the University of Tokyo's Hongo Campus. Students enrolled in high schools, technical colleges, or upper secondary courses of specialized training schools are eligible. The network has held the academy 13 times with 912 total participants. Yasunori Kikuchi, a professor at the University of Tokyo Future Vision Research Center, serves as the principal and general director. The Platinum Association Network was established in August 2010 and comprises over 220 local governments and 180 corporations as members. Travel expenses will be reimbursed up to a limit, and lunch will be provided during the events. Applications must be submitted via the parent-completed online form by June 12, 2026.
