The Platinum Concept Network launched the 'Agrivoltaics Social Implementation Promotion Consortium' in April 2026 as the first step in its 'Platinum Renewable Energy Industry Initiative.' This consortium acts as a cross-sector platform where farmers, agricultural machinery manufacturers, energy, finance, and distribution professionals, as well as universities, research institutions, and local governments, collaborate to identify the best solutions for each region.

Agrivoltaics are a crucial policy tool capable of simultaneously enhancing agricultural management stability, farmland maintenance and regeneration, regional energy self-sufficiency, decarbonization, and food and energy security. Based on the discussions at the April 15, 2026 meeting of the 'Study Group on Desirable Agrivoltaics,' this proposal advocates for the following three points:

1. Integrated policy design for 'regulation' and 'promotion.' Improve predictability for 'desirable' projects that meet standards and align them with local government decarbonization plans. 2. Flexible policy operation by municipalities. Incorporate new indicators, such as sunlight reduction rates, into national guidelines to accommodate technological innovations (e.g., movable frames, perovskite solar cells). 3. Diverse evaluation of target crops. Avoid mechanical judgments based solely on crop names; comprehensively evaluate based on regional cultivation history, profitability, and contribution to agricultural income.
