61st Lake Towada Lake Water Festival Scheduled: Early Summer Lakeside Celebration

Event Overview On June 13, 2026, Lake Towada, which celebrates the 90th anniversary of its national park designation, will host the 61st Lake Towada Lake Water Festival at the tourism hub of Yasumiya.

The event will feature a fantasy spectacle of balloon lanterns, underwater fireworks, and gimmick fireworks that seem to unite the sky and the lake. A night cruise will also operate, allowing visitors to view the light show from the water. During the day, attendees can enjoy food stalls at the Ennichi area and performances by local artists. Other attractions include special stamps at Towada Shrine and an exhibition showcasing the charm of Towada.
