The Japan Mini-Football Association (JMF, Representative Director: Takumi Kushiyama) has announced the upcoming "Summer High School Futsal Tournament 2026" to determine the high school futsal champions of summer 2026.

### Background: Diversifying High School Sports Environment This tournament has evolved into an open stage that responds to the changing sports environment and diverse needs of today's high school generation. Teams entering the tournament primarily fall into three categories:

1. **A "Next Challenge" after retiring from the soccer club**: A stage for students who retired after the Inter-High School qualifiers to play competitively once again. 2. **Pride of Futsal Clubs**: A venue for specialist clubs to prove the quality of their futsal, honed through close-space awareness and passing drills. 3. **New Teams transcending school boundaries**: Volunteer teams formed by local club mates or friends from different schools.
