[Approx. 100 participants from 27 municipalities and companies] Health Town Development Forum General Meeting 2026 held under the theme of "Tackling the 2040 Problem with Public-Private Digital Technology"

On May 22, 2026, the Lifelong Health Society Promotion Organization held the "6th Health Town Development Forum General Meeting 2026" at Hotel New Otani. The forum is a network where municipalities, companies, universities, and related organizations collaborate to solve regional issues. The general meeting is an annual event where representatives gather to deepen relationships. This year's theme was "Tackling the 2040 Problem with Public-Private Digital Technology." Digital Minister Nao Matsumoto gave a keynote speech on "Sustainable Regional Healthcare Town Development Supported by AI and Medical DX." Additionally, two member companies presented case studies of public-private collaboration. A total of 27 municipalities, including 21 heads of local governments, and 27 companies participated, with over 100 attendees in total. The organization's chairman, Kiyoshi Kanazashi, emphasized the importance of industry-government-academia collaboration. The forum plans to focus on municipal project pitches, public-private co-creation roundtables, and support for creating demonstration experiments in 2026.
