CHIMERA GAMES Vol.11: Announcing BMX, Skateboarding, Art, and Fashion Content to Build a "Town" Where Street Cultures Intersect

General Incorporated Association CHIMERA Union (Headquarters: Kyoto Prefecture, Representative Director: Ryuta Bunpei) has announced the street culture content for the urban experiential festival "CHIMERA GAMES Vol.11," to be held on May 16th (Saturday) and 17th (Sunday), 2026.

This area will create a "town-like" space where cultures such as skateboarding, BMX, art, and fashion intersect. It will be placed at the center of the venue as an entrance for everyone to engage with culture, not only through viewing but also through participatory experiences for first-timers and shopping.

By breaking down the barriers between players and visitors, and allowing each culture to naturally intertwine, the market will expand in a marbled pattern, creating a space where everyone can interact.

A "town" where street cultures intersect

Cultural symbols such as art experiences by designer MHAK, Beetle riding experiences by FLAT4, and demonstrations by MOONEYES pinstriper Mr. Ishii will join, with multiple scenes coexisting in the same space.

With the aim of uniting people and culture, the original culture is not just about watching but about "engaging" through experience, transcending the boundaries between players and visitors, and creating a space where everyone can be a part of it.

When different cultures coexist and naturally intertwine, new expressions and relationships are born.

BMX Content

While BMX Flatland competitions typically categorize participants into OPEN HI and WOMAN classes, CHIMERA GAMES' signature "Tenkaichi Rinbu Tokai" (World's Strongest Two-Wheel Dance Tournament), where men and women battle one-on-one without borders, and BMX STREET BATTLE will feature real sessions where players clash with their skills and styles.

Additionally, the "BMX LIMBO CONTEST" supported by Manhattan Portage, which challenges participants to go low instead of high, and the "Bread Eating Race" mini-game from the BMX STREET BATTLE, which was a huge hit last year, will also be held, offering content enjoyable for both spectators and participants.

Skateboarding Content

In the skateboarding area, a newly constructed CHIMERA special section, inspired by the difficult-to-skate "that" obstacle in Shibuya, will appear, linked with brands and shops!

Also, a Skate Deck Strikeout will be held, where even those who have never touched a skateboard deck or climbed/experienced a skateboarding section can participate.

This valuable event will allow participants to experience height and angle by standing on a section, treating a skateboard deck like a bowling ball to knock down pins.

Furthermore, "HAND RAIL & GAP CHALLENGE." conceived by INSTANT SKATEBOARD / instant_skateboards, a long-established skateboard shop celebrating its 30th anniversary, and VAGA / vaga_sb, a domestic brand that continues to hit with functional bags and skateboarding goods.

A simple session where all participants try a trick written on a "lottery ticket" randomly chosen by the MC, either making it or noshing it.

Last year's popular special extension wall, installed on the upper part of the quarter, a wall approximately 2.4m (about 8ft) high, will again host the GRAVIS SKATEBOARDING / gravis_skateboarding skate session this year!

ASICS SKATEBOARDING, CARIUMA, VANS, ELEMENT, AREth, UNIVERSAL OVERALL, INSTANT SKATEBOARD & VAGA, among others, will participate, making it a configuration where skateboarding culture can be experienced not only as a competition but also as a style and lifestyle.
