The Japan Society for the Standardization of Assisted Reproductive Technology (JISART), located in Osaka City, Kita-ku, and headed by Representative Director Masayuki Kinutani, will hold the "23rd JISART Symposium and General Meeting" on Sunday, June 14, 2026, at Vision Center Shinagawa in Shinagawa, Tokyo. This year's theme is "Reproductive Medicine in an Era of Declining Birthrate and Dramatic Change - Quality of Sustainable and Proud Workplaces and Quality of Medical Care." Amidst the accelerating decline in birthrates and significant changes in the environment surrounding reproductive medicine, we will directly question the significance of continuing to provide high-quality reproductive medical care to society and present a practical program to connect to the future.

Background and Objectives of the Symposium

Currently, the number of reproductive medicine and infertility treatment clinics is increasing, and competition is intensifying further. Moreover, new entrants from outside the medical field are continuously emerging, and JISART member facilities are facing multifaceted challenges such as management, human resource acquisition, and organizational operations, in addition to daily clinical practice. High-quality reproductive medical care is not solely the result of the efforts of individual doctors, embryologists, nurses, and medical administrative staff. It is only by establishing a "system" that shares philosophy, fosters personnel, collaborates, and can be sustained that it becomes possible to consistently provide high-quality reproductive medical care to patients.

Through this symposium, we aim to provide an opportunity for participating staff to reconfirm the "social significance" beyond their daily work by re-examining how our work contributes to the future of society and how to build a proud organization, from perspectives different from those of medical professionals.

Program Details

This symposium's program is structured around three approaches: "Organizational Management" for clinics to survive in this turbulent era, "Egg Freezing" which is gaining increasing interest, and "Law," which is indispensable for risk management in the field.
