Online Streaming Decided for '2026 Miss SAKE Japan Finals'!

The General Incorporated Association Miss SAKE (2-10-7 Shiba-Daimon, Minato-ku, Tokyo, Representative Director: Mika Onishi) is pleased to announce that the '2026 Miss SAKE Japan Finals' will be held on Saturday, June 13, 2026.

On this day, the '2026 Miss SAKE Japan' will be selected to serve as an ambassador promoting the appeal of Japanese sake to the world. Furthermore, this year, the '2026 Miss Amazake Japan,' newly established this year with its first Grand Prix winner, is also scheduled to appear on stage, jointly promoting the charm of 'Amazake,' Japan's traditional fermented culture.

The online streaming, which was well-received last year, will be held on the Miss SAKE official YouTube channel, 'Miss SAKE Channel.' We hope that those living overseas or unable to attend the venue will watch the live stream and offer their support.

Past Activities of 'Miss SAKE'

Miss SAKE was launched in September 2013, organized by the General Incorporated Association Miss SAKE, with the aim of selecting ambassadors equipped with aesthetic sense and intellect to promote the appeal of traditional Japanese sake and Japanese culture both domestically and internationally. In October 2013, the first '2014 Miss SAKE' was born at a selection event held with the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, National Tax Agency, Japan National Tourism Organization, and the Japan Sake Brewers Association Central Council. For the past 13 years, we have conducted over 450 awareness activities annually related to Japanese food and culture, using Japanese sake as a focal point, and promoting tourism to Japan, not only within Japan but also in various countries worldwide, including Hawaii, New York, London, Milan, Barcelona, Sydney, and Hong Kong.

In 2016, Miss SAKE USA was selected in New York, marking the first overseas selection. In 2026, Miss SAKE representatives from India, the Philippines, Hong Kong/Macau, and Azerbaijan will be selected, and they will also appear on stage on June 13th. The prominent American business newspaper, The Wall Street Journal, reported on Miss SAKE as a 'cultural project that champions the dignity and equality of women without swimsuit competitions,' receiving high praise. In its 14th year, the 2026 Miss SAKE Japan continues to evolve as a new cultural initiative centered around Japanese sake, alongside the expansion of regional and international competitions.
