According to a survey conducted by the general incorporated association SKINLABO, which targeted 300 individuals who have considered or undergone spot treatment, 69.3% prioritize a 'natural and beautiful finish' over 'low cost' when choosing a clinic. Only 30.7% of respondents prioritize affordability, highlighting a significant trend where patients emphasize final results and harmonious skin texture over initial costs.
The survey also highlighted the depth of concerns regarding pigmentation. 87.7% of all respondents reported experiencing significant concern about their spots, regarding them as a major factor affecting their overall facial appearance. The symptoms most commonly reported include distinct brown spots (40.7%) and widespread fine spots (38.7%), underscoring the necessity for appropriate treatment strategies to address various types of pigmentation.
Dr. Yoshiko Takada, a certified dermatologist, points out that spot treatment requires expert judgment based on individual skin type, the presence of melasma, and other factors. She advises that patients should not decide based on price alone but should ensure the clinic offers consultations on treatment plans and post-procedural care.
