The Japan Network for Public Interest Activities (JANPIA) has released its second on-site report, highlighting the efforts of 'Musubie', a non-profit organization supporting children's cafeterias (Kodomo Shokudo). Utilizing the Dormant Bank Account Fund, Musubie acts as an activity support organization to foster local networks and strengthen the foundations of municipal-level groups. They provide comprehensive assistance through common programs, customized accompaniment support via a team system, and an online 'learning platform' for practitioners. With 12,602 children's cafeterias currently operating across Japan, these spaces serve not only to provide meals but also to address diverse social issues like child poverty and social isolation.
