Sapporo City Tram Hosts Photo Contest to Commemorate National Streetcar Day

The Sapporo Municipal Transportation Promotion Foundation (a general incorporated foundation) will host the 'Streetcar Day Commemorative Photo Contest' to mark National Streetcar Day on June 10.

Theme: 'Cityscapes with the Sapporo Streetcar'

Submission Period: June 10, 2026 (Reiwa 8) to September 30, 2026 (Reiwa 8)

Number of Entries: Up to 2 per person

Awards: Grand Prize: 1 winner (Prize: 20,000 yen in QUO Card) Excellence Award: 2 winners (Prize: 10,000 yen in QUO Card each) Outstanding Work Award: 5 winners (Prize: 5,000 yen in QUO Card each) Nakawalk-kun Award: 2 winners (Prize: 1,000 yen in Nakawalk-kun QUO Card and merchandise)

How to Enter: Submit via the dedicated web form on the foundation's official website.

Entry Requirements: ① The photo must include Sapporo streetcar vehicles, facilities (such as tram stops), or parts. ※ Vehicles on display at the Sapporo City Transportation Archives are acceptable. ② The photo must effectively convey the charm of the Sapporo streetcar. ③ The photo must not have been previously submitted to other exhibitions or contests. ④ Entrants must agree to donate usage rights to the foundation for inclusion in a free photo素材 collection. ⑤ Open to both professional and amateur photographers.
