The Inuneko Seikatsu Welfare Foundation announced that it has officially established the 'Life Safety Net Fund' for emergency support in cases such as multi-pet hoarding, reaching its first funding goal of 8 million yen. Starting today, June 1 (Monday), the foundation is accepting applications for grants from animal welfare organizations working on the front lines. The fund prioritizes 'delivering necessary funds to necessary places quickly,' with a review and transfer system that takes only a few days to a week. Multi-pet hoarding often escalates when animals are left without proper spaying or neutering. To achieve zero culling, early intervention to stop the cycle of breeding is essential. The fund provides grants for spay/neuter surgery costs, emergency medical expenses, and supplies for environmental improvement. The grant limit is 500,000 yen, with amounts for rescue cases calculated based on the number of animals protected. Chairman Jun Sato emphasized the importance of speed, stating that these actions are like 'hemostatic procedures' where every second counts.
