Kyushu Sangyo Kotsu Group (based in Kumamoto, led by President Masayuki Oda) announced new details on its collaboration with the anime film 'Hotarubi no Mori e' (based on Yuki Midorikawa's work). The collaboration features a specially designed wrapping bus decorated with mini-characters and scenery of Takamori and Mount Aso, including the Kamishimi Kumanoza Shrine. The bus will operate primarily on the Aso-Takachiho route (Asochiho-go) from late June to September 30, 2026. Kyushu Sangyo Kotsu Tourism will host exclusive bus tours visiting the locations depicted in the movie and scenic spots in Kyushu. The tour is scheduled to run for 7 days between July 11 and September 22, 2026, requiring a minimum of 20 participants. All tour participants will receive an original film-style bookmark as a novelty gift.
