Kyoto Shinkin Bank Transitions Afternoon Counter Services to Appointment-Only – Expansion of 'Problem-Solving Branches' and Extended Hours

Community Bank Kyoshin (Kyoto Shinkin Bank, headquartered in Shimogyo-ku, Kyoto; Takayuki Sakakida, Chairman) has been developing 'Problem-Solving Branches' since June 2024 to help solve challenges in customers' lives, businesses, and the local community. Having gradually expanded this initiative, the bank is now set to roll out the model to all branches as outlined below.

Simultaneously, to provide an environment for more in-depth consultations, counter business hours will be extended until 4:00 PM.

Regarding afternoon counter services, these will transition to an 'appointment-only' system for visits after 12:00 PM. This aims to ensure that staff can provide dedicated, attentive service to each customer's inquiries without the concern of waiting times.

1. Implementation Date: Monday, June 1, 2026.

2. Target Branches: 84 branches (all branches excluding Yume-net Branch, Minna-no-net Branch, and business-specialized branches). * Business-specialized branches (Kadoma, Moriguchi, Daito, Higashiosaka, Yao, Ibaraki, Suita, Toyonaka, Shinosaka) will continue operating from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM (counter closed 11:30 AM – 12:30 PM). These branches serve only corporate and individual business clients and are not available to general retail customers. * The midday closure previously implemented at some branches will be discontinued.

3. New Counter Hours: Weekdays 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM. - Morning Counter (9:00 AM – 12:00 PM): Standard services such as deposits, withdrawals, tax payments, and transfers remain available as before. - Afternoon Counter (12:00 PM – 4:00 PM): Appointment-only service counter. Dedicated counter for customers who have made reservations. Provides a comfortable environment for consultations and procedures (asset management, loans, business consulting, etc.) without waiting.

4. How to Make an Appointment: Customers can book online via the 'Tenohira Kyoshin' app, the official LINE account, or directly through the 'Branch Appointment Service' page. In-store or phone reservations are also available. * If no preferred time slots are available online, please contact the branch directly.
