Special Exhibition of Ise Katagami from Drama Production, Unveiling New Products to Brighten Daily Life — Featuring Demonstrations by Traditional Craftsmen — "Ise Katagami Tokyo Exhibition 2026" June 12 (Fri) - 14 (Sun), 2026 [Admission Free]

The Ise Katagami Cooperative (Suzuka City, Mie Prefecture) will host the "Ise Katagami Tokyo Exhibition 2026" for three days, from Friday, June 12 to Sunday, June 14, 2026, at Mie Terrace (Chuo-ku, Tokyo). Admission is free.

Why is it held in Tokyo? Ise Katagami is a traditional craft born in Suzuka City, Mie Prefecture, and has developed over a long history. This exhibition aims to convey its charm from Tokyo, a city with particularly high sensibility in Japan. We aim to propose delicate patterns and excellent techniques inherited from kimono culture as "art pieces" that harmonize with modern life and spaces, providing an opportunity for more people to discover the new appeal of Ise Katagami.

Special Exhibition of Drama Production Collaboration Works and New Product Announcement At this exhibition, we will specially display Ise Katagami that was produced in collaboration with the drama series "Akinai Sedai Kin to Gin." The exhibition will feature a variety of patterns such as Suzukomon, Eto Komon (Zodiac sign patterns), Kaanzen (Family Safety), Fireworks, and Suzunoo. Visitors can appreciate the beauty of delicate stencils created by craftsmen's hands. In addition, new products created based on these stencils will be unveiled for the first time at this exhibition. These items will be developed as easy-to-incorporate daily goods, such as small accessories, bookmarks, and hand towels. 【Eto Komon】 Experience an 'Aha! moment' when you find your own zodiac sign among the fine letter patterns! 【Kaanzen Komon】 【Suzunoo Pattern】 KATAGAMI Pattern Treasure Box 【Suzukomon】 This is a beautiful and dignified decorative box made of Paulownia wood, embossed with Ise Katagami patterns. By observing the process of creating delicate patterns up close, visitors can experience the highly skilled techniques and aesthetic sensibilities cultivated over a long history.
