Iga City, Mie Prefecture Launches New Support Program for Caregivers

In response to the serious shortage of caregiving personnel, our city has established a new system to support the costs associated with obtaining and renewing qualifications for Care Support Specialists (Care Managers), and began operation on June 1st.

Eligible individuals are encouraged to utilize this system.

Eligible Expenses

Support is provided for the following expenses (① through ⑦):

① Examination fees required for qualification acquisition

② Practical training costs required for qualification acquisition

③ Training costs required for re-acquisition after qualification lapse

④ Training costs required for qualification renewal (with 6 months or more of practical experience)

⑤ Training costs required for qualification renewal (with 3 years or more of practical experience)

⑥ Training costs required for obtaining a chief qualification

⑦ Training costs required for renewing a chief qualification

* Items ① to ③ are supported at 100%, and items ④ to ⑦ are supported at up to 50%.

* Support for items ① and ② is available to those who pass the examination in item ①.
