Sumitomo Electric Information Systems Co., Ltd. has initiated a trial for its new 'AI Plugin Builder' feature, which integrates generative AI with the low-code development platform 'Rakuraku Framework 3.' Available on the support site, this feature allows generative AI to create Java source code for Rakuraku Framework 3 add-ons. The company also released a feature that links manual searches with generative AI, enabling users to summarize and explain information from manuals and FAQs through dialogue. Additionally, a 'data filtering' feature has been added to the dashboard to allow flexible analysis, supporting improved productivity in development and operations. Rakuraku Framework 3, which has been evolving for over 25 years, is a domestic low-code development platform that combines high-quality components for core systems to improve development productivity and quality. The new 'AI Plugin Builder' supports Java source code creation for add-on development using generative AI. Furthermore, the company has integrated generative AI into the manual search function to improve the efficiency of document research and expanded the data filtering function for dashboards to enhance data analysis usability. The AI Plugin Builder uses RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) to generate Java source code based on the platform's implementation knowledge database. This feature helps solve development challenges such as skill gaps or time constraints when adding custom business requirements. The feature also includes an explanation function to help developers understand and adjust the generated code. During the trial period, the company will collect user feedback through surveys and interviews, aiming for an official service launch within fiscal year 2026.
