Daito Junior Chamber International: Daito City Photo Rogaining with Old Maps

Daito Junior Chamber International (Chairman: Ryota Yasumura, Location: 2-6-1 Nozaki, Daito City, Osaka Prefecture) will hold an experiential town walking event, "~Walking Daito Beyond Time~," on Saturday, April 18, 2026, with the aim of experiencing the local history and culture and fostering a sense of ownership towards the town.

In this project, "Photo Rogaining" will be implemented using old maps and photographs from the Showa era. Participants will tour the current town guided by old maps and gain a deep understanding of the town's history through historical explanations provided by volunteer guides "Yamabiko."

● Project Background Citizen satisfaction with Daito City is at a low level. To provide an opportunity for citizens to take interest in the town themselves and reconsider their involvement, this project was planned utilizing historical resources (old maps).

Implementation Schedule April 18, 2026 (Saturday) 12:30: Reception starts 13:00: Photo Rogaining starts 16:00: Photo Rogaining ends 16:30: Results announcement
