The Kyoto City Youth Service Foundation (hereinafter "Youth Association") operates the "Kyoto City Youth Activity Center" (hereinafter "Center") under designation by the City of Kyoto, providing support to youth aged 13 to 30 through three core functions: "safe spaces," "counseling," and "personal development."
In recent years, to ensure youth have accessible local spaces, the Center has expanded its outreach by utilizing existing public facilities and bringing its services beyond the Center’s premises. Now, in collaboration with the Sakyo Ward Office and Rakusai Branch Office—both of which are designated as "Community Hubs" aiming to connect diverse stakeholders—the Youth Association will pilot youth-friendly spaces in office lobbies during the summer vacation period.
