The Artizon Museum (Chuo-ku, Tokyo; Director Hiroshi Ishibashi), a public interest foundation established by the Ishibashi Foundation, has concluded its exhibition 'Claude Monet – Questioning the Landscape,' held in collaboration with the Musée d'Orsay, The Nikkei, and NHK, on Sunday, May 24, 2026.

This major exhibition, featuring approximately 140 works in total—including around 90 from the Musée d'Orsay and additional pieces from Japanese museums and private collections—offered a deep exploration of Monet as a landscape painter. It drew significant attention both domestically and internationally, welcoming over 410,000 visitors, the highest number since the museum's opening in 2020.

The official exhibition catalog remains available for purchase at the museum shop and online store. We hope it will serve as a lasting record of the exhibition and a valuable resource for deepening understanding of Monet's artistic world.

Moving forward, the Artizon Museum will continue to offer diverse experiences of art under its core concept of 'Experiencing Creation.'
