Kyoei Sangyo Co., Ltd. Participates in 'FY2026 Demonstration Project for Expanding Use of Recycled Materials in Plastic Packaging'

Kyoei Sangyo Co., Ltd. will participate in the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry's 'FY2026 Project for Accelerating Industry-Government-Academia Collaboration for Establishing a Resource-Autonomous Economy (Demonstration Project for Expanding the Use of Recycled Materials in Plastic Packaging).' In this project, we will comprehensively verify consumer acceptance, quality evaluation, and cost structures across industries to address the structural issues hindering the expansion of recycled material use in plastic packaging.

Since our establishment in 1985, we have upheld the philosophy of 'If separated, it's a resource; if mixed, it's trash,' and have been recycling used PET bottles as new resources. In 2011, we established Japan's first 'bottle-to-bottle' technology and manufacture high-quality resin 'MR-PET®'.

In this demonstration project, we will visualize consumer acceptance to expand the use of recycled materials in plastic packaging in the daily necessities and beverage industries, and quantitatively analyze the room for reviewing quality standards in collaboration with arterial and venous industry operators. This aims to create ripple effects on the industrial structure and formulate industry guidelines.
